Welcome to Meadowland Farm.
We love the Standard Poodle. Standard Poodles are one of the most versatile breed of dogs that God has created. They make wonderful outdoor companions: energetic and athletic. They are also calm, intelligent indoor companions. Wonderful for children; they have a warm, loving nature. A big bark but friendly and outgoing.
We live with our Standards, in our home. A trio of spayed females are with us 24/7 and the others are rotated in and out. Unfortunately, since the move to our little five-room farmhouse we do not get to have as many indoors at one time but they have a kennel, in our backyard, in a building newly constructed just for them and we spend many hours with them. Our dogs were carefully chosen from reputable breeders and we are very happy with them. They are family pets first and foremost, not breeders. We do not breed for quantity, but quality, and have not had more than one litter of pups at a time. The welfare of our dogs is very important and we tend to their care as beloved pets. All of our dogs are being spayed and neutered. There will be no more puppies bred and raised here. At the request of others, my husband bred Shadow to Fiona for the final time. It has been almost two years since we have had any puppies here at the farm. My husband is caring for their physical needs and I am handling and loving them so they will be ready for new homes the first week of May.
Just to make everything perfectly clear so people will not be tempted to take my wording out of context, I am adding this text to my website: None of our dogs live full time in a kennel. They are allowed to have in home time but not all of them are in home at the same time.
